Hearst Partnerships is hiring a Video Editing Coordinator to utilize digital video footage to create compelling long form series for social and OTT platforms. They will work on all aspects of production, from editing to media management and graphics as well as shooting additional content as needed based on guidelines.  The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, organized, resourceful with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. 

Primary responsibilities will include:
• Download, review, organize digital footage and various projects.
• Develop long form show concepts based on short form video clips driven by key outlined priorities
• Edit together short form digital footage/cutdowns into engaging long form digital video series perfect for ‘lean back’ viewing
• Shoot/Produce additional content if necessary as directed
• Sync audio files
• Export files in various formats depending on platform


• 1-2 years experience editing, producing and developing digital series for various digital platforms in the lifestyle, beauty/style, food, entertainment/celeb space.
• Excellent editing skills with capabilities including proper pacing, music sensibility and graphics.
• Experience with conceptualizing and executing ideas that drive business results.
• Be a detail-oriented self-starter who is adept at problem-solving, can work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Have excellent researching skills.
• Strong familiarity with our media brands and content. 
• Have a keen eye and imagination for video.
• Familiar with various video formats/codecs.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Must be proficient with the following: Adobe Premiere CC 2017, After Effects CC, Photoshop CC, Media Encoder, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Bachelor’s degree in video production or related field.
• Knowledge of video equipment.
