Research Technician BioMedical Eng SoE - 19001021
The Biomedical Engineering Department is multi-disciplinary, with significant emphasis on research in areas such as medical instrumentation, biomedical optics, biomaterials, and tissue engineering. With an active research and teaching program, Biomedical Engineering offers comprehensive education and research opportunities to graduate and undergraduate students, faculty, and industrial colleagues interested in these fields.
The Department actively coordinates and interfaces with other Departments, Schools, and programs at, Under close supervision of Principal Investigator, conducts a variety of routine experiments following established procedures and protocols, which may include performing assays, tissue culture, electrophoresis, and other laboratory techniques. May also record test results, analyze data using basic statistics, maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, and monitor animal coloniesand outside, the University to foster research collaborations at its facilities.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biomedical engineering, medical imaging, biophysics, electronics, biology, cell and molecular biology, or related field. Research experience in an academic lab preferred.
Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and procedures
