The Fan Module Center (FMC) has a great opportunity for Industrial Lead in East Hartford, CT. As an Industrial Lead, you will have the opportunity to have regular contact with External Suppliers, P and W Executive Leadership, and Customers. You will be the operations representative on the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) and be responsible for planning and executing operations activities for the CIPT.

We are a worldwide leader in aviation propulsion and we are behind many of the major advances in both military and commercial engines. We design, manufacture and service aircraft engines, auxiliary and ground power units, and small turbojet propulsion products.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Interfacing with Productions Chiefs, Value Stream Managers / Account Specialists and internal and external producers. This is a very fast paced environment which may require supporting multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Developing, executing and maintaining Industrial Plans for the life of the program including development, production and aftermarket support.

  • Proactively identifying operations risks, develop mitigation plans and execute mitigation plans through multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Continuous interaction with the Program Office, Engineering, Business Units within Operations, External Suppliers, and Global Supply Chain.

  • Communicating with external customers such as Airbus.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 7 + years of experience in manufacturing or operations or supply chain, or engineering or project management or program management.

  • US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or MS in Engineering a plus.

  • Project Management skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

  • Detail and results oriented with good problem solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently, meet commitments, balance and resolve conflicting priorities.

  • Understanding of strategic and business implications to provide the best solutions.

  • Demonstrated experience working with executive level management.

  • High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement using ACE Tools.

  • Extensive proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications and SAP.

  • MRP/SAP experience is strongly preferred.
