John Zink is looking for a Process Engineer in Tulsa, OK!
The Process Engineering role within the Process Burner group acts as the owner of technical solutions provided to our customers. The individual is expected to work very closely with the sales, project management, and mechanical design teams to ensure the equipment performance requirements are achieved. The role requires an individual who is willing to think outside of the box and is comfortable and proficient weighing risk and reward to develop and provide innovative solutions for our customers. This role is not open to visa sponsorship.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Develop and apply engineered solutions for customer applications by satisfying written specifications and anticipating the customers’ needs. This relates to burner design, full scale combustion testing, control logic, customer heater combustion optimization, and related engineering deliverables.
Leverage computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Present results to customers through descriptive and helpful support and reports.
Develop value engineered solutions while maximizing reliability.
Utilize advanced computer programming to improve engineering tool calculations and engineering infrastructure.
Attend and participate in training's and seminars to further knowledge and grow relationships with industry professionals.
Rely on data driven analysis to overcome obstacles and reduce risks. Be willing to create innovative solutions by challenging the status quo.
Adapt to new technology and drive for transformation of legacy products and services.
What You Will Need:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or equivalent.
What Will Put You Ahead? Not listed in order of importance:
Industrial experience – preferably in a refining, ethylene, or reforming operating facility.
Strong stills in programming Excel VBA and Python (Python preferred), relational database administration (MySQL), and familiarity with cloud computing (AWS).
Computer science minor or similar.
Professional experience leveraging computational fluid dynamics (CFD) or related consulting services.
Masters in Engineering.
Professional Engineering License (PE).
Very Strong PC skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point and capable of quickly learning new software systems.
