Flint Hills Resources is currently seeking a Rotating Equipment Lead to join their Biofuels & Ingredients business at any of our locations across Iowa or Nebraska.  In this role, you will be responsible for the performance and continuous improvement of the rotating equipment program in the Biofuels & Ingredients fleet.   


A Day In The Life Typically Includes: 

  • Provide reliability subject matter knowledge and leadership to the Biofuels & Ingredients business

  • Own the Rotating Equipment Mechanical Integrity Program for the Biofuels & Ingredients business

  • Own the Rotating Equipment Reliability Programs for the Biofuels & Ingredients Business including machinery condition monitoring and lubrication programs

  • Own Biofuels & Ingredients critical equipment bad actor resolution plans

  • Provide precision maintenance oversight, craft training and procedures to the crafts people

  • Provide SME technical scoping and RCFA support to the plants with a focus on critical equipment and unplanned event avoidance

  • Provide SECOMA input to Biofuels & Ingredients projects.  Drive a life-cycle cost focus into project development and scoping efforts.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or 8 years of demonstrated experience solving rotating equipment reliability problems and technical challenges

  • 4+ years of demonstrated rotating equipment reliability/maintenance experience in the process industry

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Valid and current government issued driver's license

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree or greater in Mechanical Engineering

  • Vibration Analyst Category II ISO Certified or Level 2A ASNT Certified

  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP certification)

  • Certification in other predictive technologies (Thermography, Ultra Sound, motor testing, oil analysis, etc.)

  • Field Balance Certification or ability to get certification
