The UHealth Reproductive and Fertility Center at the University of Miami is seeking a per diem Embryologist to join our staff. The Embryologist position is a highly professional technical position and is responsible for coordinating and participating in a variety of complex technical duties involved in conducting In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Laboratory procedures. Responsibilities include performing assisted reproductive technology techniques, coordinating responsibilities within the laboratory, resolution of laboratory issues, ordering supplies and assisting in the preparation of the laboratory in maintaining its accreditation.
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Bachelor of Science Degree in a biological science, One year clinical embryology experience involving IVF, ICSI, PGD and cryopreservation preferred. Candidate must have experience in semen analysis with Kruger's strict criteria, semen cryopreservation, sperm preparation for IUI and testicular sperm extraction. A good working knowledge of QC/QA is also required. Exacting standards, attention to detail, exemplary documentation habits, excellent communication skills and a desire to follow protocol is necessary. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
