The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling routes for high productivity while staying within contractual guidelines for ride times. This work is done in compliance with the procedures defined by the client and in conformance with company procedures, which involves daily communication and interaction with drivers and monitors (as applicable).

This position is located at our office in Batavia, IL.

Responsibilities:


  • High productivity route scheduling

  • Maintain contractual guidelines

  • Maximizing drivers hours to achieve daily pick-ups

  • Route trips efficiently, improving on-time performance of clients

  • Ensure daily updates of client and route information

  • Review, print route sheets  to ensure daily route accuracy

  • Assure all drivers are contacted with start times for the next business day

  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required

  • Filing, documenting, and other office duties as assigned

  • Assist drivers and Call Center with problems or issues relating to scheduling

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with transportation providers

  • Report and record all incidents to the applicable manager

  • Document and report provider no shows or on-time-performance issues

  • Monitor radio, telephones and on-road provision of service for quality

  • Record time of departure, destination, and expected time of return

  • Provide feedback on drivers’ performance

  • Run Trapeze Reports

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

  • Ability to type 45 wpm

  • Previous data entry, 10-key experience, preferred

  • Familiarity with AS400 phone system,  preferred

  • Substantial experience in Internet navigation

  • Skills in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

  • Ability to acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of department processes, policies, and procedures
