Lake City Medical Center (LCMC) has been providing quality healthcare to Lake City and the surrounding communities for almost 60 years. PBX Operator must meet all hospital and hospital related communication needs following established guidelines, calls are answered promptly and professionally, and duties requested re performed accurately while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Greet incoming callers demonstrating customer service principles and behaviors appropriately.
Routes all incoming calls and maintains appropriate telephone records.
Operates the public address system consistent with established company protocol and procedure including emergency codes.
Demonstrates Knowledge and respect of patient rights to privacy and protection of patient confidentiality
Completes, executes and performs secretarial tasks such as filing and answering phone.
Communicates, interacts and participates in teamwork.
Promotes and displays a positive customer oriented demeanor to patients, visitors, staff and physicians.
Demonstrates an understanding and is proficient in the use of a computer and office equipment.
Maintain clean work environment, free of clutter.
Regular, punctual and dependable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
Education Required and/or preferred:
High School or equivalency required
Experience required or preferred:
Previous switchboard experience preferred
Excellent telephone and communication skills, pleasing voice
