Responsible for the implementation and promotion of nutrition education component and client counseling for chronic disease management, outpatient diabetes education, and wellness programs.
* Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietician * Current license by the Texas State Board of Examiners * Must be willing to pursue certification as Certified Diabetes Educator. *
If candidate is a new graduate:
* Candidate must be registry eligible * Must obtain temporary license within 90 days of employment * Must obtain permanent license within six months of employment * Failure to obtain license within this time frame will result in termination of employment *
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or Food/Institutional Management * Master of Science in Nutrition preferred *
* Prefer minimum 1 year experience as clinical dietitian with a broad experience in diabetes education, wellness, and individual/group nutrition counseling. *
