As the Inside Sales Representative (ISR), you will provide qualified leads by calling on prospective customers and discussing their Less-than-Truckload (LTL) shipping needs. The ISR is a pivotal team member in the prospecting stage of the sales process who ensures the field Account Executives have quality leads to assist in growing their sales territories. What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Perform light research to understand the prospects’ business and supply chain operations

  • Educate customers on XPO value propositions

  • Uncover opportunities by identifying customer needs

  • Achieve daily/weekly/monthly outbound call objectives; achieve lead conversion goals

  • Develop a strategy that consistently increases lead conversion performance

  • Work in a team environment to build effective sales processes and strategies

  • Work directly with Sales Operations Support Specialists for accurate submittal of leads in salesforce.com to increase lead approval and conversion

  • Work directly with Account Executives for customers with immediate needs

  • Log detailed call notes in salesforce.com accordingly

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:


  • Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM experience

  • Knowledge of general business practices related to Sales, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and Logistics

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience in customer-facing jobs such as Sales, Sales Support, Customer Service, etc.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Transportation experience

  • Strong business/sales acumen

  • Highly organized with proven ability to multitask

  • Proven ability to reach or exceed goals and objectives
