The Division of Infectious Diseases maintains an active NIH funded clinical trials program that performs Phase I through Phase IV clinical trials. Studies are performed in healthy populations as well as those with specific diseases and include volunteers from all age groups. Studies evaluate new vaccines, antimicrobials and devices or diagnostics that are designed to diagnose, prevent or treat a variety of infectious diseases. We are seeking applicants who can support, conduct and manage clinical trials to deliver and evaluate research protocols. Key areas of responsibility include protocol development/management and study responsibilities; research/clinical activities, subject recruitment and enrollment, data collection and monitoring; and regulatory guidelines and documents.
Salary $37,686- commensurate
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word and Excel) is required.
Experience with databases is required.
Experience with research is required
Knowledge of University of Iowa Health Care policies, procedures and regulations is desirable.
Experience entering and reviewing data into EPIC is desired.
Experience with cash handling is desired.
Experience with IRB is desired.
Experience screening potential research subjects to determine eligibility for participation is desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.
Experience with human subjects or patients is desirable.
Experience with REDCap survey/database application is desirable.
