Contracts Financial Analyst

The Contracts Financial Analyst is Responsible for accrual, payment and reporting of customer incentives as guided by contractual agreements; owns related reporting responsibilities both internally and externally.  As Contracts Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate pricing is loaded into SAP system and providing guidance to Contracts and Customer Services personnel in researching and resolving pricing discrepancies. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of the GPO and IDN customer alignment process, and the creation and management of sales reporting of daily, monthly and ad-hoc sales and contractual performance to the field and internal stakeholders. This position will also be responsible for implementing standard reports, performance metrics, scorecards and dashboards in order to enhance the vision and productivity of the contracts department and the sales force, in addition to being responsible for implementing small to mid-scale improvement projects from conception to completion.  The Contracts Financial Analyst will routinely interact with marketing & sales business leadership and associates outside of their department and will need to do so in a confident and effective manner.






Your Responsibilities

Your Profile





  • Administer accruals/payments of periodic rebates and incentives for sales customers.

  • Review and interpret contracts for rebates and incentives; implement calculations in both manual and automated systems for month-end close.

  • Track performance on rebate/compliance contracts; analyze compliance and report accordingly.

  • Load and maintain SAP/Vistex rule data in SAP.

  • Provide ongoing analytics for all data related to contracts and contract performance.

  • Maintain GPO and IDN customer alignment process.

  • Load and maintain pricing in SAP.

  • Research and resolve pricing discrepancies, requesting credits or adjustments as necessary, and provide such information to requesting party.

  • Respond to hospital, IDN, and GPO inquiries about pricing and/or usage information. Analyze usage and provide reports to requesting parties.

  • Maintain internal corporate reporting in regards to effort summaries, new product releases or other defined metrics. Special projects as assigned.

  • Create ad-hoc sales reports as requested. 

  • Develop standard reports for various business areas. Implement efficient and reliable processes to optimize flow and delivery of metrics while increasing productivity and quality.

  • Continuously drive culture change and acceptance of operational excellence principles across the organization by communicating and demonstrating the values and application of continuous improvement.

  • Continuously review, improve and streamline processes and procedures relating to essential duties and responsibilities to increase efficiencies and effectiveness of responsible area.

  • Inspire and encourage the use of best practices throughout the organization.




  • Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting or Finance Preferred.

  • 2-4 years experience preferred.

  • High proficiency with Excel spreadsheets, Business Objects and SAP.

  • Experience creating Excel documents including spreadsheets, formulas, charts, graphs and functions.

  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills; ability to manipulate and interpret data.

  • Strong relationship building, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Superior attention to detail is essential while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Ability to succeed in a fast paced environment delivering accuracy while managing and meeting strict deadlines.

  • Ability to work with co-workers, customers, and outside agencies professionally and tactfully.

  • Ability to influence the organization towards operational excellence.

  • Self-motivated with the ability work independently or with a team.

  • Ability to reach out and navigate through a hospital system to find the correct contact for correspondence.

  • Additional experience in sales, marketing, purchasing, healthcare or related areas desirable.
