LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPIST (LPT) PHYSICAL MEDICINE
Delivers physical therapy modalities to hospital inpatients and outpatients as assigned; performs initial assessment, establishes goals; follows standard of care in the delivery of modalities and evaluates progress; maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions.

Responsible for the delivery of physical therapy services to hospital inpatients and outpatients as assigned. Performs assessments, establishes goals, performs therapy, assess progress and modifies treatment plan and goals based on need of patients including but not limited to neurological, orthopedic,general medicine, oncology and other specific disease requiring physical therapy intervention. Participates in coordination of care with department manager, physicians, department staff and ancillary services. Promotes and maintains a high customer service level. Responsible for the delegation of duties to support staff and maintains accountability of delegation. Authorized to access secure drug and biological storage areas when completing a medication management orientation and when necessary to perform, the assigned duties.

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

* Current Texas PT licensure. Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association required.

EXPERIENCE:

* 1 year experience is preferred. Experience in physical disabilities, splinting, and outpatient care is preferred.
