The Marketing Specialist will play a support role in the execution of integrated marketing project plans for assigned service lines, programs and events aligned with specific hospital Centers of Excellence including Heart & Vascular, Cancer, Lung, and Neurosciences, and Womens Health. He/she assists the team with the development and execution of these plans, on time and on budget, under the supervision of the Sr. Marketing Strategist. The Marketing Specialist is also responsible for tracking competitive activity, helping to prepare strategy briefing documents, setting project timelines, and assisting with budget tracking. He/she will have had some experience with media/marketing (digital included) in either entry-level or internship positions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as a support arm for the marketing team across multiple project priorities
Tracks competitive marketing activity on a consistent basis, developing insights on messaging and marketing strategy for collective team discussion.
Helps with creative strategy/creative briefing documents, leveraging business, brand and market data.
Works cross-functionally with other marketing department teams/subject matter experts to help develop integrated marketing project plans and timelines in support of identified business goals.
Provides budget tracking support.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, health care administration or related area.
1-2 years previous marketing and/or media experience, agency experience preferable.
