(HYG), a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for a qualified ACCOUNTING AND REPORTING ANALYST I at our global headquarters located in Cleveland, Ohio. HYG designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts marketed globally under the Hyster and Yale brand names. An HYG ACCOUNTING AND REPORTING ANALYST I provides technical expertise and support to the accounting and reporting activities. The successful candidate will act as the global administrator and relationship manager for the Concur application. Support the consolidation process. Create, maintain, review, edit and audit various financial transactions affecting the general ledger following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Contribute to internal, external, Sarbanes Oxley, and various other audits throughout the year with analytical support schedules. Provide analysis and explanations for ledger and model variances.

Key accountabilities:

* Support the global consolidation and corporate close processes.

* Act as the global Concur administrator. Coordinate administrative roles and technical changes. Further the implementation of Concur at other locations, as required.

* Review journal entries made in corporate accounting area. Assist in the review of the monthly reconciliations. Investigate unusual items. Monitor global intercompany.

* Assist external and internal auditors with their review and ensure that they are provided with all supporting documentation necessary for the completion of their review. Provide assistance with the audit of complex models and the related company policies. Prepare accounting and reporting information, including roll forwards, explanations, and variance analysis to support audit reviews.

* Support continuous improvement through the analysis of specified data, such as reporting requirements, best practices, and continuous improvement implementation. Position requires successful candidate to become highly experienced in the reporting of both SAP and Hyperion.

Minimum qualifications:

* Four-year college degree with a major in Accounting or Finance. CPA, CMA, MSA or MBA preferred, but not required.

* Minimum of five years relevant work experience.

Skills and abilities required:

* Knowledge and understanding of advanced industry accounting standards, principals, concepts and theory.

* Strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively and fluently with senior management, functional department leaders and all other internal/external customers.

* Intermediate/Advanced level Excel; Word and Outlook experience required. Concur, SAP, Hyperion experience a plus.

* Experience interacting with departmental team members and presenting clear/organized financial information.

* Recommendations for internal control enhancements, policy and procedure creation and revision and system changes to improve work process efficiencies are all expected with this position.

* Accuracy and efficiency are critical for this position.

* Ability to work extended hours at month end and for special projects is required.

* The ability to interact with and communicate effectively with management and various positions throughout HYG is essential for this position.

* Some travel will be expected (approximately 5-15%).
