Residential program in Norristown is seeking qualified, highly motivated, compassionate individuals to provide supports to individuals who have been diagnosed with a mental illness in our men's program. Candidates will be expected to partner with individuals in working towards goals to increase independence in the community and within the residence.
Job responsibilities include:
*Assisting in the ongoing development, documentation and supervision of independent living skills.
*Developing and maintaining trusting, positive relationships with the individuals we serve.
*Introducing Individuals to community-based resources, activities, opportunities and providing daily supports.
*Maintaining physical standards of residence. Cleaning and assistance in meal preparation are required as well as assistance with personal care skills depending on assigned site and level of care needed.
*Providing hands on assistance with meal preparation and personal care needs when required.
*Monitoring medication and the health of residents we serve.
*Completing required daily documentation.
Experience preferred, but training will be provided. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and valid PA driver s license, a willingness to learn and the ability to work well in a team-centered environment.
One position currently available.
* PT position at 16 hours: Sat and Sun: 11am-7pm
