Associate Project Manager
Currently, we are seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our global account team based in Chicago, IL. This position will be responsible for supporting our Project Management team and managing the design and execution of multiple corporate interiors projects across our client s portfolio.
This individual will be responsible for assisting individual project teams in developing detailed project scope, schedule and budget. In addition, they will own our Project Management technology tools and ensure consistent and accurate updating of project information across all client projects.
-Assist project team on projects and assignments.
-Proactively manage and update our Project Management and budgeting tracking tools.
-Assist in developing scope and schedule for assigned projects.
-Conduct and document weekly project meetings.
-Coordinate activities of sub-contractors and relocation of technical functions.
-Manage minor renovation projects.
-Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors.
-Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner.
-Coordinate and track all Vendor RFP s.
-Maintain accurate and consistent electronic files and documentation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
-Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
-Experience in real estate, design or construction, or construction management required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
-Understanding of how to manage multiple projects of a similar type as a group, or program.
-Ability to prepare and track budgets and schedules.
-Familiarity with architectural drawings, furniture and space planning concepts.
-Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed.
-Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
-Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients.
-Organizational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project.
