THE POSITION OVERVIEW
Contribute to Cambridge International/Rexnords success by supporting diverse production areas with the constructing, maintaining and inspecting of tools. Serving as an aid in the creation of new products and ideas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for maintaining the necessary inventory levels of manufacturing supplies and tools to support production needs.
Receives, stores and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, measuring devices and other equipment.
May keep records of tools issued to and returned by workers. Searches for lost or misplaced tools.
Conducts periodic or perpetual inventory, and requisitions stock as needed. Unpacks and stores new equipment.
Visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects, and reports damaged and worn-out equipment.
Applies basic skills and may develop advanced skills appropriate for the position or specialization.
Duties and tasks are standardized.
Resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher levels.
Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
High school diploma or its equivalent and
Up to 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area. Proficient mechanical aptitude
Understanding basic machining practices
Strong math skills
Must possess manual dexterity
