SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position is a terrific entry into sales with plenty of opportunity. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing leads and sales activities within a geography to create, maintain and expand relationships with large, multi-location customers. This includes the responsibility for meeting and exceeding revenue and profitability goals. The Inside Sales Representative sells products and services to targeted customers, teaching institutions, IDN, GPO, and Government prospects, manages the customer account planning cycle and ensures customer expectations are met by the company. Additionally, this position coordinates the implementation process by balancing company resources with customer needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Grows existing accounts and develops new accounts in the eye health market to meet territory revenue and profitability goals.
Effectively manages sales pipeline from lead acquisition to purchase by focusing and advancing customers through the sales process.
Strategizes plans and organizes territory for profitability, focusing on key customers in the territory.
Manages plans that are strategically focused, including account profiles, sales opportunity assessments, account objectives, strategies, action plans, and value assessments.
Demonstrates the highest level of consultative selling by assessing the knowledge of the customer and adjusting the strategy to gain maximum customer engagement with U.S. Eye Care Business.
Facilitates pull-through of marketing strategies and initiatives within assigned Area.
Coordinates with Implementation Specialists to facilitate customer product training as required.
Proactively conveys timely information to the Sales Director, Implementations Manager, Marketing, Sales Operations, and others to provide market intelligence, customer information, events, changes, and trends to maximize sales, revenue, and marketing opportunities.
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of eye care product lines, competitive products, and product objectives.
Establishes cohesive partnerships with members of the Quidel Eye Health Team and affiliated companies.
Partners with Quidel Eye Health Sales Management to establish new working relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and decision markers within assigned region with the objective of driving early adoption of Quidel Eye Health products.
Seeks knowledge from “expert” resources. Identifies and utilizes best practices in territory and recommends them to the team members.
