This role is responsible for systems and test engineering as a member of a multidisciplinary new product development team. This position will understand and define customer needs; product functionality and performance requirements; product architecture, constraints and trade-offs; design and interface requirements, technical risks of new products being developed. You will collaborate with other team members on the overall design of the final product while determining what verification is required, including the amount of data required and the methodology for collecting and analyzing the data. Lastly, you will provide objective evidence that a product design meets its specified requirements and meets the identified user's needs and intended uses.

Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure requirements are testable and can be verified and validated
* Author/review verification and reliability test protocols
* Collaborate with internal and external testing facilities to identify appropriate resources and gather verification and validation data
* Review, statistically analyze, and document pass/fail conclusions on gathered data
* Measure and report on progress toward completion of verification and validation
* Support root cause identification, corrective actions and re-verification/validation of identified product defects.
* Contribute to product requirements based on knowledge of customer workflow and their environments
* Conduct impact analysis for design changes and implement necessary actions
* Identify technical problems and provide innovative and creative solutions
* Contribute to fault tree analysis and design FMEAs

Qualifications Required Background:
* Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering or comparable technical discipline)
* 2-4 years of engineering experience
* Demonstrated experience working on new product development projects; experience with regulated industries and FDA Design Controls is preferred
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Proficient problem solving skills
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
* Working knowledge of systems engineering methodologies and statistical techniques
* Working knowledge of systems engineering methodologies
