Position Summary: 

A Senior Project Manager for on-market platform programs with a multidisciplinary technical scope.

Responsibilities:


  • Leads and/or support projects across all instrument PMT’s

  • Provides management and leadership skills to drives execution on project goals

  • Leads the project planning activities including definition of scope, identification of keys task and formulation of detailed timelines with durations, dependencies, critical path, and milestones

  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

  • Networks with internal personnel in a matrixed organization to balance priorities and optimize execution

  • Applies best practices and knowledge of internal/external business challenges to improve products

  • Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives for the PMO function with specific focus on “on-market” projects

Requirements:


  • Expert at project scheduling using MS Project, including dependencies and critical path determination and optimization

  • Accomplished at resource scheduling and loading

  • Understands product development lifecycles and on-market management of products

  • Able to communicate effectively at most levels of the organization

  • Basic understanding of the principles of Design For Six Sigma (DFSS)

  • Command of many topics in the PM Body Of Knowledge (PMBOK)

  • Familiar with genetic sequencing principles and sequencing devices

  • Familiar with FDA and CE-IVD regulated product development processes

  • Able to work independently, receiving little to no instruction on day-to-day work

  • Consistently demonstrates advanced maturity and emotional intelligence

Education and Experience:


  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and typically a minimum of 5 years of product development experience in a regulated industry with 2 years as a project manager

  • Typically requires a current PMP certification
