Summary Objective: Ensure TeamFHIIT clientele receive a world class experience and results by creating an immersive atmosphere that services their expressed and unexpressed needs.
Essential Functions:
Deliver the ultimate fitness experience to every member, every time
Create positive experiences for all guests and prospects
Provide a quality class by beginning and ending on time, preparing for class in advance, and executing session consistent with the programmed class format
Maintain a neat, clean and orderly exercise environment
Job Responsibilities:
Follow TeamFHIIT session execution protocols
Show energy and enthusiasm in every session
Exhibit excellent customer service – greet members, guests, and staff with a smile and exemplary service
Participate in at least two sessions per week to evaluate class format, safety, and member satisfaction
Wipe down equipment as needed
Bring TeamFHIIT Manager any questions or issues that needs attention
Complete instructor on-boarding as well as continuing education once integrated on staff
Work with members before and after class if needed
Provide individualized exercise correction to participants as required for safety and comfort
Develop dynamic and stellar session playlists through FitRadio and Spotify shared playlists
Follow through on instructor scheduling and substitute system during illness or time off
Maintain ongoing positive communication through instructor meetings every quarter; meet as a team
Assist customers in all service related issues, referring as needed
Schedule classes for customers in-person and on the phone
Offer program intro sessions or tours to customers, guests, and visitors
Assist in the point of sale process for memberships and packages
Train on safety standards and emergency procedures
Report all incidents or injuries to General Manager
Report equipment needs immediately to TeamFHIIT manager
Notify TeamFHIIT Director and Maintenance Director of any studio or equipment problems
Create and support a culture of positivity and shared success with TeamFHIIT Regional and General Manager
Attend meeting with TeamFHIIT Manager and General Manager on a daily basis
Attend team meeting with Regional TeamFHIIT Director on a monthly basis
Assume other duties as assigned
Work early morning, evening, and weekend hours as necessary
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Experience training multiple clients (4-16) in one session
Current nationally recognized personal training certification
Current CPR, First Aid Certification, and A.E.D. Certification
Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology or related area is preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Has knowledge of all programs and promotes them at all times keeping students informed
Has knowledge of basic movement science to coach, correct, and advise modifications and progressions
Ability to manage team members in an effective manner
Generate, maintain and demonstrate a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
Effective organizational skills
Expert in fitness and fitness equipment
Understanding of basic cash procedures
Ability to handle challenging customer issues with patience, tact and professionalism
Must have a high level of professionalism, honesty, integrity and work ethic
Maintain a professional image at all times, including proper team training apparel
Exhibit a superior sense of customer service at all times
Willingness to work flexible hours
Demonstrated selling skills
Demonstrated personal training skills
Excellent telephone etiquette
Competitive personality
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Understanding of basic point of sale procedures
Basic computer skills are required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Standing for long periods of time, daily walking, lifting, bending, squatting, and reaching
Combination of standing, sitting, kneeling, and lying down when appropriate while teaching, coaching, or providing instruction
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to complete a personal training workout
Speaking/Hearing – Clear diction and acute hearing are necessary for effective communication
Vision – Corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary to effectively monitor
