Provides first-level technical IT assistance to Department employees; assists in maintaining IT budget; assists with various IT functions such as updating websites, issuing and checking-in equipment, ordering computer supplies; getting software and hardware quotes to keep up with maintenance agreements; performs administrative duties such as editing documents, answering phones and copying. Provides assistance to external users for web-based applications.
Summary of essential job functions
v Maintains documentation related to hardware and software maintenance agreements and quotes.
v Provides first-level technical assistance to Department personnel; primarily responds to questions related to software, printers, etc.; Reviews Jira help desk tickets and assigns to appropriate person. Makes sure all tickets are resolved in a timely manner.
v Issues and checks-in employees' computer equipment, print cartridges, and software; assists in maintaining the inventory database of computer hardware.
v Creates and codes requisitions for IT purchases and maintenance agreements; enters information into e-procurement system; reconciles IT purchasing documents with the Department's financial records; researches discrepancies as necessary.
v Researches various computer supplies and makes purchasing recommendations to Division Director; initiates purchase orders and tracks orders.
v As necessary, performs updates to the Department's website for items specific to the IT Division and to assist other Divisions with updating information.
v Assists with editing technical documents and creating PowerPoint presentations, as requested by the Division Director or Applications Manager.
v Removes old printer cartridges and installs new cartridges on the Department's network printers.
v Assists external users with web based application questions that are submitted to webmaster or through phone regarding account creation, password recovery or first level questions regarding any DOAA external web application.
v Performs general clerical duties such as answering phones, copying, filing, organizing distribution of mail, and scheduling appointments.
v Assists with other clerical and administrative support responsibilities as needed.
