Job Description for RESIDENTIAL LOAN PRODUCTION MANAGER
THIS POSITION REPORTS TO:
Senior Vice President – Consumer/Residential Mortgage Lending
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:
•BA in Business Administration, Finance or related area preferred
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in Residential Lending sales and management
•Proven ability to achieve production goals consistently
•Effective verbal and written communication skills
•Experience in sales management and business development
•Strong organizational and financial analysis skills
•Excellent interpersonal skills
PRIMARY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Promote the Bank’s loan programs to the community through daily contact with real estate brokers/builders, and customers.
•Follow up on leads generated by personal effort, regular contact from within the industry, call-in/walk-in inquiries, in addition to the support enhancements from Bank advertising, and direct mail efforts.
•Conduct pre-qualification interview on behalf of realtors, builders, and individual customers. Explain and recommend the most appropriate available loan programs, based on a pre-qualification interview. Maintain a file of pre-apps that do not immediately result in a formal application. Follow up on pre-apps regularly until they apply for a loan with the Bank, apply for a loan with another lender, or withdraw from the mortgage market.
•Accept residential mortgages from customers. Screen applications for compliance with Bank, industry, and agency guidelines. Notify in a timely way those applicants who do not qualify. Implement processing of qualified applications as quickly as possible. Monitor the processing of the loan in accordance with the Bank policies and procedures.
•Conduct all mortgage loan solicitation, origination, processing, and closing within the regulations of ECOA, RESPA, and othe regulatory body requirements now in effect and those in the future, as they become effective.
•Actively cross-sell Bank products and services
•Prepare records and reports as requested regarding loan solicitation, origination, and closing activities
•Guide and direct staff in the Market
•Interact with customers and Bank personnel in a manner to establish a positives sales and service culture resulting in achievement of assigned goals.
•Promotes and develops new business for the Bank.
•Provides leadership and coaching to staff to ensure maximum effectiveness, as well as continual learning and professional development
•Manages direct reports and provides weekly, monthly and quarterly feedback on performance planning goals
•Ensures that all staff members are well informed, understand the concepts and are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for high performance
•Builds and maintains relationships with community and civic groups, represents the Bank at related events.
•Understand and comply with Bank mission, organizational structure, employee handbook, bank security, policies and procedures, standards of conduct and incentive program.
•Other duties as needed or assigned.
