The Sales manager will actively prospect and qualify new business. He/She will also produce and/or review all sales contracts, rate agreements, and/or banquet/catering event orders while they monitor and handle inquiry calls and provide client proposals in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures. You will arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients and produce monthly sales-related reports and sales forecasts for assigned area of responsibility. He/She will attend and represent hotel at trade shows, networking events, and conventions and/or participate in sales trips to key feeder markets. He/She will monitor local business media sources to uncover potential new regional business as well as penetrates existing regional corporate accounts. The Business Travel Sales Manager role sells 100% of the time.
Requirements include some College plus 1-2 years sales or marketing related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience and a related degree is preferred. Prior hotel sales experience is also preferred.
You must be able to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, etc. and may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
