Leonardo DRS EOIS –
Mechanical engineering design candidate would become a key member of an integrated product team tasked to develop infrared sensors and related military products. The duties would primarily be associated with the mechanical design and packaging of cryogenically cooled infrared sensors. As part of DRS' multidiscipline team, the successful candidate would be involved in mechanical concept to detailed design, as well as supporting the integration and testing of products.
The qualified ME candidate will be a motivated self-starter who can work with other engineers to resolve technical problems, establish approaches for solutions, and complete mechanical scope of work. In this position, the candidate will develop technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems related to the entire product life cycle including proposal, design, manufacture, integration and test of various types of sensor assemblies with considerations in thermal and structural performance in vacuum and cryogenic environments. Familiarity with CREO/Pro Engineer, FEA modeling, and a good knowledge of drawing standards is strongly recommended. The candidate will work under general direction or supervision while following established procedures and guidelines.
