Location: Owatonna, Minnesota
Under the supervision of a licensed Audiologist, the Audiology Assistant may perform selected tasks in patient assessment and may work with hearing aids and assistive listening devices. Patient assessment may include newborn hearing screening and preliminary hearing screening under the supervision of a licensed Audiologist. May work in coordination with licensed Audiologist to perform selective tasks of patients assessments which may include infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric hearing evaluations for those who may require non-conventional test methods. Duties may include interacting with patients, receiving calls from internal and external customers, arranging patient appointments, filing, record-keeping, and repair of hearing aids. The audiology assistant also orders and stocks equipment as needed.
High School Diploma, or G.E.D.
Two years of patient care experience. Possible experience may include duties such as patient service representative, clinical assistant or nursing assistant.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Preferred: Associates Degree in related field
Preferred: Hearing aid repair experience.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $14.30 per hour.
Hours / Pay period
Schedule is four 8 hour shifts per week that coincide with the ENT providers clinical days.
