Location: Eau Claire, Wisconsin
Disassembles, cleans, prepares, sterilizes and distributes trays, instruments and equipment according to prescribed procedures and aseptic technique. Monitors and documents all chemical, mechanical and biological indicators to ensure sterility. Assists in maintaining department inventory and equipment. Dispenses surgical supplies to the Operating Room.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of a vocational program for Sterile Processing preferred. Sterile processing and/or healthcare experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Willingness to accept new ideas and work under stressful conditions. Basic computer knowledge.
License or certification
Certification as a Central Processing Technician (CRCST) within 2 years of hire.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $14.65 per hour.
Hours / Pay period
64 hours every two week pay period
Variable evening/night shifts with rotating holidays. Position may work 8 and/or 12 hour shifts.
Varying weekend rotation, approximately every third weekend.
