Location: Rockford, Illinois
Using MRP system, establishes job sequences and schedules for Litho. Reviews and discusses progress of the jobs and the status of the equipment with supervisors in these departments. Maintains records in reference to the productivity abilities of the departments. Reports production delays and their reasons to the appropriate members of management. Follows job orders through areas to their completion. Responsible for working with Purchasing to order coatings, and is responsible for keeping track of coating inventory. Attends flat sheet customer meetings.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
• Education equivalent to vocational or high school which should include specialty courses in business administration and post high school strongly recommended.
• Two (2) to three (3) years of on-the-job training is required to develop a full understanding of the policies, procedures and production operations to perform proficiently.

Art, Litho, Planning, Purchasing, Industrial Engineering, Sales and Production, Customer Service, Customers, and other management personnel.
Duties normal to the job: (listed by importance)
DUTY DESCRIPTION OF DUTY % TIME DEVOTED HOURS SPENT
Duties: Performs duties involving considerable detail having to do with operations of Litho, Art Department, and Strapping. 100%
Reports: Generates Litho schedules using information generated from MRP system. Reviews list for due dates and total hours required to produce such. Updates Litho scheduling white board daily.
Calculates running efficiency of lines to determine if they are ahead or behind schedule. Revises schedules as needed and alerts affected management of problems which are impacting the schedule. Makes recommendations for schedule adjustments to meet goals.
Prints Litho job orders. Checks job orders for accuracy. Checks status of coatings inventories needed to produce the job orders. Distributes copies of job orders to appropriate areas: Tin Stores, Litho, Shear, and Art Department. Reviews job order errors with Industrial Engineering.
Verifies if materials are available for production of product. This would include steel, coatings, ink, printing plates, and other such items that are needed to produce the product.
Reviews dispatch list for job orders finished but not completed. Investigates why orders are not completed in the system. 100%
Communication: Meets with management personnel for Art, Litho, and Fabrication areas. On regular basis, reviews sequences, dispatch lists, and notes changes needed.
Holds daily meetings to discuss status of Litho jobs and to review the upcoming Litho schedule. 100%
Fills in for Production Scheduler-Senior in his or her absence.
Safety: Responsible for observing safety rules at all times. Polices use of safety devices and equipment, general housekeeping, and maintains a constant alert for hazardous conditions and practices 100%
