Job Description:

The Realogy Corporate Internal Reporting Group is searching for an Accounting Manager with a high proclivity in financial systems to join their team.  The candidate will assist in the monthly, quarterly and year-end consolidation and reporting process for Realogy as well as support Realogy’s Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) application.  The individual will assume a role in ensuring that Realogy reports its consolidated results in an accurate and timely manner and that information is readily available for Senior Management to make key business decisions.  In this role, the person will be a key contact for all Corporate Finance departments including External Reporting, Tax, Planning and Treasury, and the Company’s external auditor (PwC), as well as business unit finance and accounting departments.  

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Monthly responsibilities:  


  • Running consolidations and reviewing consolidated financial statements

  • Preparation of monthly P&L Flash report for upper management

  • Monitoring intercompany and equity activity

  • Posting and maintaining elimination and topside journal entries

  • Resolution of divisional questions/issues

  • Generation and review of IRG reconciliations and supporting schedules

  • Maintaining reconciliation and journal entry binders

  • Loading exchange rates and share data in HFM

  • Completing monthly HFM administration tasks

  • Acting as a direct liaison with key contacts at each division and all corporate departments

Quarterly responsibilities:


  • Preparing the Statement of Cash Flows package and supporting analyses

  • Fulfilling all necessary PwC requests and inquiries

  • Creating and issuing the quarterly and year-end deliverables calendar

  • Preparing support schedules for External Reporting and providing requested information as needed

  • Supporting External Reporting, Tax and the business units to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the consolidated financial information as captured in Realogy’s 10-Q/K filings

Annual responsibilities:


  • Updating SOX assessments and performing testing

  • Updating department process documentation

  • Rolling forward and validating beginning balances in HFM

  • Preparing annual roll forward of HFM elimination and carryforward entries

Other Primary responsibilities:


  • Addressing/Resolving ad hoc business unit questions/issues

  • Creating, maintaining and distributing documentation regarding close processes and HFM

  • Assist in updating HFM to reflect required accounting changes

  • Assisting business unit and corporate finance departments in leveraging HFM and its various reporting capabilities

  • Ad Hoc reporting requests

  • Special project work

  • Chart of accounts maintenance




  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting

  • CPA preferred

  • 5+ years of Accounting experience in with 2-3 years of Public Accounting

  • Experience with financial statement presentation / compilation

  • High proclivity for learning financial systems

  • Technical accounting knowledge

  • Strong analytical skills  

  • Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or similar consolidation system (HFM Administration or super user skills preferred)

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong MS Office skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Problem solving skills with ability to present working solutions
