Henkels & McCoy, Inc., one of the largest privately held international utility contracting firms, with offices in 80 cities and celebrating 95 years of operating with a reputation as one of the most reliable and innovative firms in engineering and construction, is currently seeking qualified Groundman to join an exciting Wind Farm project in the panhandle of Oklahoma.
We are hiring Groundman for underground installation of electrical collection systems and connection to the power grid. Individuals will perform any combination of duties on construction projects. This position will be responsible for performing manual labor using hand and power tools. The Groundman is responsible for safety and the safety of those working with them; he/she is also responsible for material handling and job site clean-up as assigned by the supervisor or crew leader.
These positions are expected to be available in September 2018.
Broom/Shovel work assisting crew in underground utility construction.
Assist crew members in trenching, digging, pulling and removing material.
Operate power equipment for demolition, concrete removal, grading, truck/dumpster loading, site clean-up and other general tasks using company and/or rental equipment.
Monitor and maintain condition of company equipment.
Loads and unload trucks and haul/hoist materials.
Participate in daily job briefing and safety meetings.
Must be able to lift, reach, dig and carry heavy objects; with frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to wear all required personal safety equipment.
Pre-Employment Drug Testing.
Must be available for overtime weekday and/or weekend.
Labor experience in utilities, preferred but not required.
Union membership may be required.
