The Director, Global Medical Information will lead, manage and provide oversight to all Medical Information (MI) function and team members within headquarters and those within MIU vendors. This role will effectively work within the GMSA group and liaise with all Global and Regional Medical groups, Strategic External Partners, IT and other functions within Indivior.  The Director ensures MI generates well-documented and authoritative, accurate responses to consumers and health care providers on queries raised using Indivior Pharmaceutical products. This role will maintain excellence within MI resulting in accurate and retrievable records of contacts and responses to consumer and healthcare professional queries. The Director, Global Medical Information will also maintain efficient links with the Global Drug Safety unit, Global Medical Affairs teams, QA, and other functions to ensure excellent internal and external customer service.   

The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following:

  •     Support, manage and lead all MI related activities and team members 

  •     Expertise in vendor management 

  •     Maintain subject matter expert knowledge of all Indivior products sufficient to oversee compliant handling and/or oversight of consumer and healthcare professional queries Globally

  •     Oversee and act upon existing SOP and policies, approved materials and pre-established work instructions associated to standard operating procedures for optimal team performance

  •     Have a vision and an execution plan for MI, while maintaining collaborative approach within GMSA as a whole

  •     Strong review skills, could cross cover for own employees: attention to detail, process flow and content expertise (e.g.  understanding of pathophysiology and disease processes associated with Indivior products)

  •     Remain current in up-to-date training in Medical Information processes and procedures for self and team 

  •     Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  •     Coordinate with all members of the MI team to ensure the functions they perform are current and in compliance with Medical Affairs guidelines

  •     Frequent communication with Legal/Compliance, Marketing, Regulatory, Drug Safety, Quality Assurance and Clinical leads.

  •     Leadership ability as demonstrated through efficient project management and mentoring

  •     Compassionate attention to conflict resolution in support of consumer communications

  •     Maintain a collegial partnership with Field medical teams and communications to ensure consistent up to date provision of data and maintenance of standardized and custom responses

  •     Ensures overall MI compliant documentation for business tracking and trending within established timeframes

  •     Development and provision of ongoing vendor trainings, which includes and is not limited to assessment of training effectiveness, ongoing needs assessments, design and delivery as appropriate.

  •     Ensures reconciliation is completed and documented for all vendor activities for MI

  •     Ensures strong Strategic Partnership communication and liaison and leads innovative methods for outsourcing efficiencies

  •     Be open to IT and e-health implementation opportunities  

    Education: RN, PA, PharmD, PhD, MD

    Field of Study: Healthcare

    Experience: Pharmaceutical professional background: Medical information experience (minimum 3 years) required. Minimum of additional 3 years experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical company setting. Managerial experience preferred.

    Other experiences preferred: 

  •      Healthcare compliance certification

  •      Drug safety

  •      Fluent in secondary language

    Travel: Limited
