General Statement of Duties:
The Administrative Manager/Nursing is to direct and/or coordinate all non-therapeutic management activities, not related to direct nursing care on an assigned inpatient unit. This included resource utilization including equipment, supplies, patient charges, time and attendance activities, and departmental and capital equipment budget.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Monitors time and attendance.
2. Procures supplies and equipment.
3. Develops and monitors operational and capital equipment budgets.
4. Interviews, hires, orients, and evaluates unit secretaries.
5. Monitors resource utilization reports and identifies problem areas.
6. Coordinates activities with other departments related to environmental and equipment maintenance.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Education: Baccalaureate degree in management, business or related field preferred.
Experience: Work experience in a health care setting and previous management experience desirable.
