Since 1983, Cypress Fairbank Medical Center has offered a wide array of health services and specialties. At Cy-Fair Hospital, you ll find 24-hour emergency care, 181 licensed beds, a Primary Stroke Center, an accredited Chest Pain Center, pediatric care, bariatrics, ob-gyn services and more.

Cy-Fair Hospital works to meet the community s needs with four emergency rooms at the hospital and three offsite, as well as two urgent care facilities offering night and weekend hours.

CYPRESS FAIRBANKS MEDICAL CENTER is currently looking for a LACTATION CONSULTANT L&D.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the assessment, development and implementation of a lactation support program for patients, families, nursing staff and the community. This program will include education and direct observation and care needed to ensure safe quality care of the breastfeeding moms and infants under our care. The consultant is required to plan the diets of the neonates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensure/certification/registration: Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of

Texas.

CPR with American Heart Association.

Current certification with the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) or CLC Certified Lactation Counselor with at least one year of Lactation Experience preferred.

Must have Bachelor s of Science in Nutrition or current license as a Registered Dietician.

Experience Required: 2-3 years of acute care experience preferred.

Special Skills & Qualifications: NRP within 90 days of hire.
