Job Description:

Position Summary:   
Works independently in support of the facility maintenance function in performing scheduled maintenance, repairs and assembly of facility and production equipment. Emphasis will be on process plumbing. Excellent people skills, along with a strong sense of urgency is required. Have the ability to move from task to task with little notice. Must be available nights and weekends for overtime and emergencies as needs arise.

  • Perform complex maintenance and repair of plant facilities and equipment.

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment.

  • Maintain cooling tower, chillers, compressed air, hydronic and steam systems.

  • Safe operation of all related machinery and equipment.

  • Run maintenance related errands using company truck

  • Interpret blueprints, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings and specifications.

  • Carpentry and painting as required.

  • Grounds keeping duties.

  • Light custodial duties as need arises.

  • Duties and projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Comply with all applicable standards, policies and procedures, including safe work practices, environmental awareness and quality related policies and procedures.

  • Accomplish all the above via a strong sense of teamwork and always consistent with the Dymax vision/mission statements.


  • High School/Tech High School graduate.

  • Trade school, completion of formal apprenticeship programs or six to eight years of plant maintenance experience. P and /or S occupational trade license desirable.

  • Must be able to use:

      • All types of basic hand tools.

      • Electrical and battery operated power tools.

      • Ladders and scaffolding

  • Valid driver?s license with good driving record.

  • Physical requirements include some heavy lifting to 50 lbs. and the ability to climb a ladder.

  • Ability to successfully complete in-house fork lift and scissor lift training and certification.
