Job Description:

Superior Group is looking for Master Machinist for our Client located in Hudson, WI

Plan and determine set up procedures and operating sequences; select tooling attachments, spindle speeds, tool feed rates, work-piece securing methods, supports, etc., best suited for nature of operations, machine and size of work-piece.
Position, align and secure work-piece on the bed of the machine, clamp and support work securely, using care to avoid distortion that may affect finished dimensions, or secure work-piece between centers or on face plates of turning machines.
Set tooling in holders and calibrate tool heads to orient tools and work-piece to reference point for operations, using care to insure settings to assure travel clearances and avoid tool deflection affecting dimensions and finishes.
Adjust machines during operations for feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to obtain needed finish and dimensional specifications; check work to assure dimensional conformance where several related dimensions and unusual contours are needed.
Work from complex and involved sectionalized and part drawings and specifications, anticipating future stock removal requirements for finish machining.
Use a wide range of precision measuring instruments and devices to set up, operate machine and check work.
Graduate of technical school, full apprenticeship program, experience.
Ten or more years of experience as a fully qualified machinist.
Ability to read complex blueprints and specifications in both inches and metric.
Full understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
Visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect machined parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as CNC Machining.

Physical strength to lift and carry 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
