The Massage Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, massage therapeutic intervention, reevaluation and education of patients who are referred for massage. The Massage Therapist works closely with the patient/client in providing individualized care.
Manual applications of compression, stretch, vibration , mobilization of the tissues beneath the dermis including the components of the musculoskeletal system, peripheral vessels of the circulatory system and fascia, when applied primarily to parts of the body other than the hands, feet and head.
Any combination of range of motion, directed, assisted or passive movements of the joints.
including the therapeutic applications of heat, essential oils

Understanding of Content
Communication with referring provider where applicable
The Massage Therapist will determine future return appointment schedules as outlined in plan of care, and document treatment progress in documentation system.
Certification from a state approved school of therapeutic massage with at least 750 hours of massage therapy related therapy training. (1,000 hours + preferred).
Maintain completion of 24 hours or more of continuing education every two years.
Three years' experience as a massage therapist, preferably in a healthcare delivery system.
Board certified in massage through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB preferred).
Completion of a hospital-based massage therapy training program preferred.
Ability to perform safe and effective massage therapy requiring visual assessment skills, verbal, written, and auditory communication skills, fine motor function and coordination, manual sensitivity, physical strength and stamina. Ability to assimilate complex objective and subjective data and make clinical judgments based on the information provided by the patient, gathered from medical records, and provided by the health care team. Complies with any and all city and state requirements to maintain certification.
License or certification
Active license to practice Massage Therapy in the State of Arizona.

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $25.07 per hour.

Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm business hours
