Job Description:

This position is responsible for the creation of new and the annual review of existing training material for the Customer Success team. This position also serves as Clinical Educator and participates in the clinical support response process. 
The Clinical Educator assesses, plans, coordinates and manages training on MCG solutions. Working in a variety of training venues, this position is primarily responsible for the delivery of comprehensive training programs for MCG licensed clients. As a member of a cross-functional team, the Clinical Educator works closely with client representatives to plan and deliver customized training that adheres to industry standards of excellence.
Successful accomplishments and primary accountabilities of this position will depend upon establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with MCG staff, clients, vendors and visitors.

  • Successfully complete training available through MCG that supports key job functions

  • Develop training material and learning curriculum for the Clinical Education team

    • Participate in the curriculum or instructional design process, representing the training needs of the clinical educators and the learning needs of the end user

    • Support clinical and technical training content development as needed, including solution specific training standards, learning activities and job aids

    • Attend solution demos to continuously be aware of upcoming solution or software enhancements

  • Participate with other departments in gathering information, testing and problem solving to create training material

  • Participate in the MCG clinical support process:

    • Adhere to organizational style guides when answering clinical inquiries when able

    • Complete all inquiries and reviews in a timely manner

    • Provide consistent feedback to Clinical Educators to improve interpretation of the care guidelines

  • Support the on demand (ODT) and online training programs as needed

  • Support the review of Interrater Reliability case studies

  • Review and approve written training proposals, agendas and custom training material 

  • Oversee the clinical content portion of MCG certification programs including identifying and validating exam questions

  • Partner with clients and Account Managers to define training needs

  • Partner with clients to perform training needs assessments for requested training deliverables

  • Partner with clients and Account Managers to develop customized training plans

  • Engage clients in the learning process through the collaborative development of annual or on-going training plans

  • Monitor team and individual dashboards to achieve adherence to departmental metrics

  • Author written training proposals and training case closure summaries to define scope and outcome of training

  • Interact with clients to identify opportunities for expanded use of licensed MCG solutions

  • Interact with clients to assess current operations and recommend workflows that support effective and maximized use of MCG solutions

  • Deliver training on all MCG solutions and formats per established standards

  • Serve in additional roles that support the overall effectiveness of the Customer Success department, including:

    • Provide new hire orientation/mentoring

    • Serve as a resource to other MCG departments in support of internal training

    • Perform quality auditing of clinical education and clinical support cases

    • Participate in the Clinical Education team’s feedback and evaluation process

    • Provide clinical support to our internal strategic alliance team

    • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years experience with development training materials.  Recent training material development experience preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical educator role

  • Instructional design, curriculum development and project management experience desired 

  • Ability to collect information, prioritize details and build training documents based on learners needs

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and e-mail

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently work remotely including demonstrated evidence of problem-solving skills

  • Proven history of collaborative, team-focused approach

  • Evidence of high quality training and presentation skills

  • Evidence of ability to engage and educate both external and internal customers

  • Evidence of professional approach to assignments: responsible, efficient, effective, ethical

  • Experience in the training and education of healthcare related products

  • Effective time management skills

  • Extensive utilization management, case management, or disease management experience 

  • Ability to establish credibility with clinical customers and clinical trainees

  • Ability to travel (minimum 10% to 50% maximum)

  • Active, current and unrestricted RN license in a state or territory of the United States required

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related healthcare field preferred

  • Active and current Case Management Certification preferred

  • Curriculum development or instructional design certification (or equivalent) preferred
