About the position:

Prudential is seeking a Change/Problem Management specialist.  This position is part of a team of individuals who are the focal point regarding changes for the IT organization. This position will be responsible for the quality and integrity of the IT Change Management process. They are accountable for the team?s overall performance, as measured by several production and quality indicators. In addition, investigates severity 1 and 2 problems and provides detailed formal post mortem documents to Senior Management as well as our Business Partners. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Change and Problem Investigation Management.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing daily support of operational activities associated with Change Management and Problem Management

  • Providing guidance to customers regarding Change and Problem Management

  • Participating in collaborative working environment using ITIL methodology

  • Facilitating weekly change meetings

  • Providing Change Management approval on IT related change activity

  • Following up on overdue change records

  • Providing change management tool and process training

  • Attending business Change Advisory Board meetings

  • Communicating IT Change Management activity

  • Providing daily support of operational activities associated with Infrastructure/Application run books

  • Assisting in ARC Application Runbook Owners with an understanding of the process and workflow to create, update, and submit runbooks

  • Performing ARC Admin functions (maintain ARC Help documentation, performing runbook approvals, maintain system data)


  • College degree or equivalent experience required (1-3 years)

  • Fluent in both English and Japanese written/verbal communication 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Highly motivated, conceptual thinker who has the ability to work independently and within a team

  • Proactive in identifying process gaps and following to resolution

  • Able to extrapolate information from technical documents or discussions and translate to understandable non-technical language

  • ITIL certification a plus

  • Change/Incident/Problem and ServiceNow experience preferred

  • Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills.
