The Facilities & Equipment Technician is responsible for maintenance and operational support of all equipment and areas needed for the manufacture of RSDL at the Hattiesburg, Mississippi manufacturing facility. Additional duties may include shipping and receiving, procurement, and other duties as needed.
Comply with cGMP regulations, adhere to company policies, and adhere to SOP and Batch Record directions
Set up and operation of automated manufacturing line
Monitor and adjust equipment during operation
Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic and mechanical issues that arise
Focus to continually improve processes throughout the manufacturing and packaging areas.
Perform equipment cleaning
Coordinates and performs preventive/reactive maintenance on production and facility equipment
Maintains detailed maintenance records
Coordinates contracted maintenance activities with vendors
Assists in qualification of equipment / facilities as needed
Applies creative and sound troubleshooting techniques to generate timely solutions to problems
Establish procedures with some supervision

Education, Experience & Skills
2-3 years of experience in electrical, mechanical and/or pneumatic equipment operation and maintenance.
Associates or Bachelor degree in mechanical or electronics discipline preferred
PLC and process control troubleshooting skills preferred
Must possess the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner while gathering and analyzing information skillfully
Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity, and rely on collaboration, limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Type/keyboard, visual acuity, good eye/hand coordination, stand, walk, sit, twist/turn, climb, reach outward, reach above shoulder, hand dexterity, bend, squat/kneel, sense of feel, sense of hearing, sense of smell, lift/carry 40-60 lbs, and pull 75-100 lbs. Use phone, fax, copier, and computer. Use hand tools. Organize/coordinate, analyze/interpret, calibrate precise measurements, problem solve, make decisions, supervise, plan, communicate, build relationships, innovate, observe safety and security procedures, prepare written communications, and prepare transaction documents. Work outdoors, around noise above conversation level, in hot/cold temperatures, in high humidity, where ventilation is needed, in multiple locations, and with restricted access to cleanrooms.
