Job Summary

The UPS Capital Human Resources (H.R.) team at UPS Capital provides consultative/tactical support to business unit management in the areas of Organizational Training, Performance Management, Health and Safety, Compliance, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Workforce Planning, and Unemployment Benefit Cost Control.  

The HR intern would coordinate and execute H.R. related projects. He/She would receive direct supervision, coaching and counseling from the H.R. Supervisor throughout his/her assignment. He/She will be responsible for the coordination of the New Summer Internship Program and work with our Corporate HR partners in Organizational Development to create new UPS Capital job models and job definition. He/She will serve as liaison with the Compliance group to respond to time sensitive internal audit requests.

Other Duties

  • Utilize technology to improve current processed and templates such as the company organizational chart

  • Work with our HR Systems Corporate contact to create a new company roll up table

  • Assist with the administration of the day-to-day operation of the HR function

  • Gathers, verifies, and manipulates highly confidential Human Resources data

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently (actively) enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a college program with a concentration in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration or related discipline(s)
  • Strong PC skills, especially with MS operating systems and applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook and Windows)
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week, from 8am to 5pm
