Dematic Corporation has an immediate opening for a Facilities Support 1 at our customer facility located in Pataskala, OH. This position will be responsible for the following duties:
- Running the floor scrubber
- Changing batteries on the lift trucks
- Removing trash from the building
- Running the bailers for cardboard and removing bails
- Assisting maintenance techs
- General cleaning
Job Family Responsibilities:
May assist in routine facilities and equipment repairs with outside contractors. May assist in routine facility inspections. May assist in routine monitoring and scheduling of facility-related activities, and service/request calls. May assist in other activities such as sorting and delivering mail, waste paper recycling, operating office equipment (including equipment set-up, operation, routine maintenance), inter-office transportation, stocking of coffee areas, answering phone, greeting and assisting visitors (and arrange for escort, as necessary), responding to routine office inquiries via telephone or in person. May assist in administering routine procedures and systems for visitor control, employee identification, and safeguard of company facilities. May assist in routine loss control investigations, and preparing routine accident reports.
Performs simple, routine work within area of specialization. Selects appropriate processes from clearly documented rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from manager.
Typically, HS diploma or equivalent required. Specialized skill training/certification may be required.
Knowledge and Experience:
Demonstrates correct understanding of routine aspects of work. Typically, up to 2 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
Key Working Relationships:
Contacts are primarily with immediate manager and others in the group.
