The phlebotomist will obtain specimens and perform designated tests on patients of newborn to elderly as required including but not limited to Venous, Arterial, Capillary and point of care specimen. Will exhibit problem solving skills and participate in specimen processing, specimen transport and customer service as required. Promotes Essentia Health vision statement. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others. This position will work in multiple settings and will work all shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as required.

QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements) Education and/or years experience required: •High school graduate or equivalent. •Safely collects and/or processes biological specimens and other substances. •Must have a thorough knowledge of laboratory equipment, procedures, CLIA regulations, and quality control methods. •Exemplifies self-direction with good organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills Licensure/Certifications required: •Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency. •Current Certification (or within 1 month of hire/transfer) as American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
