Location: Renton, Washington
This position provides business consulting and program support for key initiatives and capabilities critical to meeting the Kaiser Permanente Washington regional operating plan.
The role reports to the VP of Portfolio Management and Strategic Execution and will support a wide range of projects and initiatives, and be accountable for driving work under the direct leadership of the VP. Candidate will work closely with and coordinate deliverables/hand offs/drive projects with the Office of the President, the Strategic Planning Team, the Enterprise PMO, the Performance Improvement Team, Care Delivery, Information Technology, and Health Plan Operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a business consultant or program manager working with executive leadership and their teams to create new capabilities, drive improvements and facilitate discussions with accountable leaders to transform goals into actionable plans. Must be skilled at navigating issues that are blocking performance in a constructive manner while maintaining positive relationships.
- Consult on and lead work to identify and resolve issues necessary to meet operating plan performance goals
- Accountable for structuring undefined issues for resolution, identifying and mitigating execution risks, researching critical items, summarizing information, and working with relevant teams to make sound and timely decisions.
*** There is no opportunity to live in another Kaiser Region and commute to Washington.
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, health care administration, operations research, public health administration, or other related field OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
Master's Degree in business administration, economics, health care administration, operations research, public health administration, or other related field OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements
Advanced demonstrated performance in strategic/operational analysis and planning, analytical techniques, financial and market assessments. Demonstrated knowledge of the intricacies of hospital/HMO/medical offices operations and practices. Superior communication, consulting, facilitation, negotiation, conflict management, problem resolution, change management skills and consensus building skills. Superior leadership and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to bring projects/initiatives to completion. Ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities in managing a wide range of projects. Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Minimum Experience Requirements
5 years minimum of work experience in consulting, operations or project management required.
8 years consulting, operations or project management required.
