Job Description:
Nasdaq's GCS Public Relations Sales group is adding to the team! This role is responsible for selling all of Nasdaq's products and services centered around PR communications including press release distribution; media monitoring platform, insights and analytics reports; influencers targeting; media database, and newsrooms.

We provide our clients everything they need to power their PR programs and spotlight success to their stakeholders: Global press release distribution and accurate media contacts. Multimedia to bring their story to life. Monitoring services to track their coverage, and media intelligence to see the big picture.

Your primary responsibility is to engage and build relationships with public companies within your defined territory in order to deliver new client revenues consistently and predictably in line with defined monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.

You're a Vocal Leader: Attending sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts, reporting on market situation.

You're a Constant Learner: Emphasizing service or product features and benefits, quoting prices, and preparing sales order reports or forms.

  • Preferred: knowledge of and/or experience PR, Advertising, Marketing or Corporate Communications solutions
  • Skills in identifying opportunity and client prospecting (i.e. participates in dialogue with assigned customers and collaborates with internal team, colleagues and customers to assess long term needs and solutions)
  • Technical and practical skills on sales acumen and deal closure
  • Territory Planning and Industry Monitoring skills Value Analysis - detailed information about the uses and values of Nasdaq products and offerings
  • Ability to close new customers by identifying their basic needs and recommending products/services/ solutions
  • Builds a working knowledge of products, technologies, offerings, etc. within scope of responsibility.
  • Has a working knowledge of competitors' products and services as well as their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Assists in presenting deal scenarios to the customer that focus on how Nasdaq can best address their future business challenges.
Education
  • Education Required: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or marketing/sales
  • Experience Required: At least 3 to 5 years

  • Assist in managing customers through the sales process (pre-sale through post-sale),
  • Understands the other roles that are part of the sales process (e.g., sales support).
  • Assists in presenting deal scenarios to the customer that focus on how Nasdaq can best address their future business challenges.
  • Evaluates sales performance to understand strongest and weakest customers, bestselling products, and successful sales techniques.
  • Assists in identifying opportunity in territory and develops a sales plan for the territory, including a list of high priority customers to target.
  • Assist in conducts an ongoing review of the territory plan, referring back to it regularly to make sure the plan is on target.
  • Delivers requested, detailed information about the uses and values of Nasdaq's products/offerings.
