Lead and manage the software engineering department. Work closely with the global design leadership team to build up, maintain and improve the competencies of the department. Educate and equip the team members with the proper process knowledge and technical skills. Work closely with TPMs globally to provide the technical support for the project from the software perspective, including: quotation, resource arrangement, technologies, design and engineering. Capable of architecting software architecture
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and manage the software engineering department. Work with global design leadership team to build up the team, maintain and improve the team competencies according to company’s business requirements.
Align with global functional managers to set up, improve the software development process and management continuously.
Get familiar with the Jabil Culture, business, policy and process, and fulfill the company policy and process in the team management and project activities.
Educate and equip the software engineers with the proper process knowledge and technical skills. Communicate with the team members to pass the company spirit and collect the feedback.
Work with global design leadership team and/or technical project managers to provide information that will aid in the initial quoting process.
Stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide competitive and cost effective designs.
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
Strong and convincing communication skills.
Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. Master degree preferred. Degree in Engineering or Business Management.
Minimum of 5-7 years experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, experience and / or training.
Be proficient in either high level application software or embedded firmware development process and methods;
Software experience required in more than one of these areas on embedded hardware system: networking protocols, BSP, IoT application, Cloud service, RTOS, Linux, Android and GUI.
Software development experience required in at least one of these areas and preferably more than one: telecom, data-com, IoT device, security, wireless, pc/server/storage, consumer electronics, automotive and medical.
Well understand the product and software development process and procedure.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Creative, self-motivated, responsible, good team work spirit. Work independently with minimum supervision.
