A client with Kforce is seeking an IT Architect to join their team remotely. The Manager is open to remote from anywhere within the US.
Essential Functions:
Defines the high-level structure of a product solution by mapping marketplace and business requirements to application system components
Arranges functionality of application components, assigns component responsibility, defines component interaction, and correlates the application system components to a product solution as defined by the requirements; This process includes the resolution of those requirements best met by existing or enhanced application components and those which will be addressed by new application subsystem components (to be built, purchased, or otherwise leveraged from an external vendor)
The Application Architect is responsible for guiding the Application Development team through the development process; Ensures development is being done right the first time and has an understanding of how their products relate with other products, and ensures interdependencies are in focus; Success is measured on the ability to minimize re-work required after production implementation, which may be due to stability, performance, and/or functionality that does not support architectural tenets (services-oriented architecture, multi-bank processing, etc.); Makes design decisions and technology recommendations to satisfy business requirements based on the product roadmap/vision
Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs
Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements
Writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies
REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
Banking/Payments domain with at least 15+ years of experience
Enterprise Payments and Open Payments Framework is an added advantage
Interview: 2 step interview; One with Manager and the other with Panel with Manager and Architect
Location: No time zone preference
Working hours: Business hours for time zone
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
