Our Catering services are growing here at Uncle Giuseppe's Market Place! Our Port Jefferson Station store is getting ready for the summer BBQ season and is in need of a FT Catering Event Specialist. Our new hire will be the point of contact at each catering event and will be the resource for the host regarding questions, concerns, set up and food items. The Catering Event Specialist will also work with the team, cooking and plating food items.
This position is a minimum of 24 hours per week, with a schedule of Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities
Greet host upon arrival at each event and provide them with all information regarding their event, setup and food items orderedWill review all event food items, costs, payment, utensils, plates, etc.Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe the company uniform policyArrive with the team on time and in uniform for all scheduled shiftsDemonstrate the core values of Uncle GiuseppesEnsure that all BBQ and event items are packed and in van, ready to set up at the host/event locationWill work the grill, cooking with catering clerks for eventWill plate items/place on serving trays for guestsAdhere to all local, state and federal guidelines and lawsComply with safety policies and proceduresProvide exemplary customer service and greet guests in a friendly mannerProperly handle products and equipment in accordance with food safety and safety guidelinesOther duties and functions as assigned
Requirements
HS Diploma or equivalentMust be 18 years or olderPrior catering and customer service experience working in a fast paced environment is requiredMust have excellent communication skills, with a core focus on customer service and the resolution of issuesAbility to work in varying temperaturesAbility to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful wayAbility to work cooperatively with othersAbility to operate all equipment customarily used by the Food Service Department as well as Industrial BBQ equipment such as grills, sternos (hot flame), hot pans, etc.

Working Conditions
