Persistent Systems is seeking a Facilities Associate who will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work environment at our NYC Headquarters. The Facilities Associate will ensure the office environment makes an excellent impression on employees, customers, and other visitors to the office. Position reports to the Director of Facilities and Facility Security Officer.
Position Responsibilities
Maintaining clean and orderly break areas; wiping counters and cleaning drip trays hourly; adding milk into coffee machines as needed and cleaning machines at end of day; wiping breakroom tables after lunch
Maintaining clean and orderly conference rooms; cleaning conference room tables as necessary, organizing chairs, and wiping down white boards
Maintaining clean and orderly employee collaboration areas; cleaning tables, organizing chairs, and folding swivel tables
Maintaining neat and stocked restroom area; mop and clean restrooms as needed, refill toilet paper rolls, hand soap, and toilet seat covers, wipe sink areas of excess water splash, stocking lactation room with water bottles
Assisting with event set-up and clean-up as directed by Facilities Lead
Emptying trash receptacles when full and at the end of day
Handling additional spot cleaning as needed, including wiping down phone booths, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by facilities management team
Job Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to lift at least 25lbs
Must be able to work in-person at our NYC headquarters 5 days per week (Monday through Friday)
Must speak conversational English
Ability to obtain a United States Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in facilities maintenance
The base pay for this role can vary from $20 to $23 an hour based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
