General Summary:
This Associate, Revenue position is primarily responsible for accounting and financial reporting support for the revenue transactions through the subledger system of the company. Under limited to general supervision, this position is expected to leverage their progressive experience to work with other internal department team members to deliver accurate and timely reporting and processing for the company in key revenue areas. Position is expected to adapt style to differing audiences and often advises others on difficult matters. This position also assists with special assignments and projects within the Revenue team.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Through their deep knowledge of US GAAP, ensure proper accounting treatment and processing for all assigned technical areas of product revenue.
2. Perform assigned daily and/or monthly general ledger account reconciliations with product subledger; investigate and resolve any variances as needed. Will assess and resolve unusual circumstances through the use of sophisticated problem solving and
3. analytical techniques.
4. Perform assigned month-end close tasks and support monthly variance explanations; provide internal and external audit support.
5. Assist with ad-hoc projects when required and perform all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Experienced general accounting background with an understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Excellent personal computer skills; have strong PC skills with Microsoft product suite.
• Ability to assess unusual circumstances and uses sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify cause.
• Ability to resolve and assess a wide range of issues in creative ways and different approaches.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must be able to establish a high level of credibility with all levels of internal operations and external clients.
• High energy and ability to work in a face pace business environment.
• Self-starter and highly motivated (must be confident in own strength and ability to achieve goals).
Qualifications
• 5 years of relevant and progressive work experience in the accounting field.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Physical Requirements and Working Condition:
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an at home and office environment.
